Hmmm, why does it have a cover??

Disclaimer: I am bored and trying to put off several menial household chores. This post is really not that interesting :)

Thank goodness for bassinets! When we added a twin bed to the nursery, I had a minor meltdown. I HAD TO RE-ARRANGE THE OTHER FURNITURE TO ACCOMMODATE THIS BED!! Now, in the grand scheme of things, this is NOT that big of a deal. But, I had this "picture" of what the nursery would look like stuck in my head, and it was hard to let go of it! I don't know how many times I moved the bed, crib, and recliner (Jason got tired of moving it and gave up...can't blame him!). Finally, I had an epiphany (whoa, big word). Izzy will not even be sleeping in that room nor would she care where the bed was positioned. She is going to be sleeping in OUR room...at least for a little while. Hmmmm. So, like I said, thank goodness for bassinets.

One note: Jason looked at the bassinet and asked why on earth did it have a cover on top. And, I could not answer him. He has a point...it's not going to be raining or storming in our room...So, if anyone knows, please enlighten us!

AUGH!!! I had to move the crib!
Yet another shot of the havoc wreaked by the twin bed
HAHA! Sleep now, bubba...the bassinet is on YOUR side of the bed! :)

Just a thought about the cover on the bassinet. Maybe it is to shade the baby from the sun shining in the window. As I was looking at the picture, there was lots of bright light shining in on it. Just a though. Who knows really. Tyler never slept in a bassinet. He was too long for one when he come home from the hospital. He slept in his bed from day one and did great!

I feel your pain! I too had a "vision" of Katie's nursery, and it was destroyed by a FULL sized bed. I still get this feeling like something is off when I walk into her room.

I thought about the "sun-shading" theory...but, I have curtains so I am not sure it holds here :)

By the way, the nursery is adorable!
